Zolima Spring Summer 2011 Collection at Playtime Paris Trade Show

A young poetic retro-chic brand for savvy children from 0 to 12 years, Zolima takes one back in time on an exhilarating journey to the intriguing and magical Far East of the 1930’s.

The richness and originality of Zolima’s French designer’s “East meets West” experience is Zolima’s starting point and inspiration. Multicultural French born designer Nicole Andrianjaka de Surville already influenced by her Berliner and Madagascan heritage has for the past 20 years explored and enjoyed the richness of the Orient. As a tribute to her latest experience, she beautifully reinterprets oriental graphic codes and symbols in a creative and charming yet fresh and contemporary style.

ZOLIMA’s signature peony appears and reappears, to brighten up and modernize, re-inventing the delicate and traditional Chinese icon in an imaginative way to entice the whims and wishes of children.

Shapes are elegant and lines simple; Fibers are natural with an eco-friendly ethos. Poplins, satins and voiles are all made of organic cotton or bamboo fibers.

Thanks to modern cuts, a mix of delicate embroideries, and subtle blends of earthy and fruitful colors, Zolima has a joyful and airy feel that speaks to both little ones and their mothers who embrace a distinctive and personal style out of mainstream fashion.
