Little Bookwormz Launch Literary Apparel Children's Line

Little Bookwormz Launch Literary Apparel Children's Line

Little Bookwormz, created by Co-owners Paula Sewell and Janice Markham, is a fun, smart clothing line celebrating the lives and literature of writers, artists, and iconic figures from around the world.

The Little Bookwormz line is comprised of images by Emmy Award-winning designer Keith Michell. The graphics include William Shakespeare, Frida Kahlo, Edgar Allan Poe, Langston Hughes, Mark Twain and Emily Dickinson. The quote onesies, t-shirts and bibs feature the inspirational words of authors Cervantes, Dante and John Donne, among other literary favorites.

“It's so great to see a kid point out our Mark Twain t-shirt and hear the parent talk to them about Huck Finn and political satire,” Janice explains. Paula nods in agreement, “Yes, we've had children recognize William Shakespeare on our t-shirts because they've studied his plays in school.”

A portion of the proceeds funds the WORDs (We Open Reading Doors) literacy program sponsored by Vox Box Arts Collective, Inc. "Part of the inspiration for creating these designs came from a desire to promote literacy in a creative way," Janice says.

Cuter&Cuter Unique Girls Design Concept - Handmade Dress Made from Daddy's Shirt

Geneva based e-commerce company cuter&cuter introduces a unique design concept - recycle Daddy’s old shirt or a beloved vintage wedding gown into a new heritage dress little girls (ages 3 months to 6 years). The concept also includes flower girl dresses and christening gowns.

cuter&cuter was co-founded by Malin Wallenberg, who created the concept from memories of a special bond with her father, and designer Adrian Coville, trained at St. Martins School of Fashion London in fashion design. He considers every dress as unique and all design is based on his inspired visions.

Co-founder Malin Wallenberg explains, “As a little girl I used my father’s shirt as a security blanket and a reminder of him. Nearly forty years later I can still feel his presence when I think of that shirt. The white one with tiny blue bicycles on it. The comfort of my fathers shirt is still in my heart."

Handmade in Switzerland, cuter&cuter dresses are a one-off, embellished with crystals, embroidery and other surface decoration. Send any shirt you like and cuter&cuter will make it into that special heirloom dress for your little girl!

Koolabah Fall Winter 2011 Collection - Designer Kids Clothing from Portugal

Koolabah Fall Winter 2011 Collection - Designer Kids Clothing from Portugal

Koolabah´s Autumn-Winter 2010/2011 collection Iko Iko presents simple shapes, pure materials and thoughtful details. All the pieces are modern and refined with quirky details, making each item a wearable piece of art. The main palette is black, red and blue.

The overall inspiration is taken from the traditional Japanese wardrobe - elaborated and tailored pieces with simple and clean lines, made of Japanese colorful fabrics. The collection also includes styled and comfortable basic wear for children up to 12 months. For colder days the collection offers warm and cuddly polar jackets, vests and overalls.

Koolabah's inspiration is drawn from Japanese simplicity & Scandinavian functionality, proposing clean lines, neat shapes & quirky details that make each piece a small work of art.

Koolabah.com was founded in the winter of 2007/2008 by fashion designer Nina Wolf and her husband Pedro Moreira. The idea of Koolabah arose when their first son was born. It was then that they had to confront themselves with the children wear market. Even though the market offers a lot of different brands and styles, they felt a need for a brand that could offer a truly inspiring alternative to contemporary clothing lines. An avant-garde line for avant-garde minds.
